On Friday, October 16, 2020, Elton and Special Guest vineyard owner and vintner Peter Thompson discussed three thrilling Diamond Mountain District Cabernet selections.
We tasted three thrilling Diamond Mountain District Cabernet selections. Both the 2013 and the 2015 vintages from our library were featured along with our 2017 released earlier this year.
All three vintages hail from Peter Thompson’s Andrew Geoffrey Vineyard. The pure, white volcanic ash soils, high elevation and southeast exposure of the vineyard produce tiny berries that are intensely flavored, and produce finished wines that are profound. This was a rare opportunity to try these scarce wines from one of Napa’s most revered vineyards. Join us as we settle into fall and begin to turn to these rich, delicious Cabernets more frequently.
