“Deep Roots in Napa Valley” Virtual Tasting Video
On Friday, August 14, 2020, Elton was joined by our very own Jason Price for the 6th entry in our Virtual Tasting Series. First up was the 2014 Affinity Cabernet Sauvignon from our Coombsville, La Londe Vineyard, now showing all of its power and beauty that provide the perfect kick off to a discussion of our winery’s origins.
Next they tasted the ultra rare “Robert’s Block” Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon from Block 2 on our Winery Estate Vineyard. Only a lucky few will ever taste this wine as the production wavers between only 1 or 2 precious barrels each year; 25 to 50 cases of Robert’s Block for the world! Both wines are starting to show their potential at the 6 year mark.
Jason’s time with us at Robert Craig Winery began with the 2014 vintage, so this will be a perfect opportunity to find out about his winemaking philosophy, his take on farming, barrel selection and overall goal for the wines now that he is at the helm.
